Zahili Gonzalez Zamora is a Cuban-born Afro-Cuban jazz pianist, vocalist, composer, and bandleader whose music reflects a fearless journey of artistic and personal transformation. Classically trained from the age of six and a graduate of Cuba’s National School of Music, she has built an international career spanning Canada, Southeast Asia, and the United States.

Now based in Boston, Zahili is a Berklee College of Music graduate (summa cum laude) in Jazz Composition and Piano Performance and a recipient of the DownBeat Music Award as well as the Duke Ellington and Wayne Shorter Awards. She currently serves as an Associate Professor in Berklee’s Piano Department.

Her acclaimed Afro-Cuban jazz trio, MIXCLA, has appeared at major festivals and venues including the Monterey Jazz Festival, the Montreal International Jazz Festival, and Scullers Jazz Club, earning Boston Music Award nominations. She has collaborated with celebrated artists such as Ingrid Jensen, Orlando “Maraca” Valle, and Claudio Ragazzi.

Her latest album, Overcoming, recorded at New York’s legendary Power Station, features original compositions that explore resilience, identity, and self-discovery, solidifying her voice as a powerful force in modern Latin jazz.
