Tues, Jan 27 Silvano Monasterios

January 27, 2026 06:00 PM until January 27, 2026 08:00 PM

Silvano Monasterios, born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, is a celebrated jazz pianist, composer, and bandleader whose three-decade career has earned him a reputation as one of the most distinctive voices of his generation. Lauded by JazzWeek for his “deeply intricate and thought-provoking mastery,” Silvano blends classical training, harmonic sophistication, and vibrant Latin rhythms into a sound entirely his own. He has performed with a wide array of acclaimed artists—including Paquito D’Rivera, Jeff “Tain” Watts, Nestor Torres, Larry Coryell, and Shakira—and his solo projects continue to receive widespread recognition. Most recently, he completed The River, a nine-piece suite commissioned by Chamber Music America and The Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, released in April 2025.
