New Orleans based vocalist Laura Doyle and drummer Ty Ellender have made their way through Louisiana blurring the lines of R&B and jazz, while creating an outlet for the musicality of their band, YOUSE. Collaborators Ty Ellender and Laura Doyle have generated a creative space to spread innovative musical ideas within themselves as a duo, as well as a community of like-minded artists. Their influences range from creators such as Hiatus Kaiyote and Robert Glasper for ideas of chordal structure, and take percussive and rhythmic inspiration from artists such as Yussef Dayes and Richard Spaven. After gaining multiple residencies in New Orleans and headlining their own shows throughout the years, they are currently working on recording and releasing new projects. Their band YOUSE is working on writing and recording their first original album to be released in 2025, and Laura Doyle is currently recording her debut album “Edelweiss”. Ty Ellender currently has his EP “Stay Forever Young” released on all streaming platforms, and his new album “Pushback” was released in December.
